Lanzarote villas Holiday rentals - villas & holiday homes to rent in Lanzarote
Lanzarote is the most eastern island of the Canaries 1000km south of the Iberian Peninsula and 140km off the Moroccan coast. Covered in ancient volcanoes, the island has an interesting inner landscape with moon-like craters covering the mountains.
On the tropical coasts, Lanzarote has many beach resorts and to the north, there are many smaller islands to be explored including La Graciosa, Alegranza, Montaña Clara, Roque del Este and Roque del Oeste. With an average temperature of 21 º C that rises to the high 20s during the peak summer months, Lanzarote is an all year round destination.

Timanfaya Volcano
No visit to Lanzarote would be complete without visiting the Timanfaya National Park. This is a Unesco protected area and home to the Montañas de Fuego or Timanfaya volcanoes - the only ones left that are active in the Canary Islands. You can take one of the camel tours around the National Park which is an experience you won't forget.
The temperature of the ground just 13m below the surface is an incredible 600 ºC! The El Diablo Restaurant in the park has a BBQ with a difference - it uses geothermal heat and a cast iron grill placed over a hole in the ground to cook the local speciality dishes of chicken and rabbit.
There are many tours of the park by coach that take you through the amazing lunar landscape - but note that you are not allowed off the coaches to wander around by yourself.
Featured villas in Lanzarote
With a population of just 135,000 its surprising how many tourist beds can be found around the island. Most of the accommodation tends to be on the coast in and around the main beach resorts such as Costa Teguise, Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen. Whether its a beach villa or apartment, Lanzaroteholiday rentals tend to be reasonably priced with bargains to be found outside the main summer months and school holidays.
