How to get to Vieste
Airport Transfers
The closest international airport to Vieste is Bari at 180kms with airport transfers taking around 2 hours 20 minutes. Bari is served by many international carriers including AirItalia. Another option is to fly in to Pescara which is also served by budget airlines such as Ryanair. Transfers from Pescara take around 2 1/2 hours and the journey brings you on to the western side of the Gargano Peninsula. From there, the scenery on the coastal road to Vieste is spectacular.
By Train
From either Bari or Pescara, you can get the train to Foggia which is the closest station to Vieste. The journey time is approximately 2 hours.
By Bus
Directly across the road from the train station in Foggia is the bus depo where you can get a transfer to Vieste. It takes aproximately 90 minutes to cover the 92kms passing through beautiful countryside with vineyards and orchards in every direction before arriving at the sweet pine aromas of the Gargano National Park.
