Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, Gironde Holiday rentals - villas & holiday homes to rent in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande

The beautiful histsoric bastide of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande sits between Bergerac and St Emilion on the river Dordogne. The area is surrounded by colourful countryside and is known as "Pays Foyen" where the Gironde, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne meet. One of several fortified towns in the Gironde dating back to the 12th Century, Sainte-Foy-la-Grande is relaxed, refined and full of culture and tradition.

There are abundant cafes and restaurants in the town plus an excellent market selling local produce such as truffles and foie gras, which is a real bonus if you are staying in a self catering villa or apartment. And if you enjoy wine, you will be spoilt for choice with so many vineyards offering wine tasting especially around St Emilion and Bergerac, and also a little further west of Bordeaux in Médoc and Haut Médoc.
