El Port de la Selva sits on the northern coast of the Cap de Creus and is an important fishing port and tourist hub during the summer and just 16 miles from the French border. The main pebble - sand beach is in front of the village with all the amenities to hand including boat tours, jet skis, and para-sailing. But, there are many more beautiful coves and islets to be explored. Most of these can be reached on foot by wandering down the windy paths from the cliff tops or by boat.
In the town, with its white washed houses and cobbled streets that gives the feeling of being in a small fishing village, there is a good selections of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from.
