Alberobello Trulli Holiday rentals - villas & apartments to rent In Alberobello, Murge
Alberobello is a small town in the Valley of Itria in the Murge region of Puglia and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is famous for its characteristic cone-roofed houses called Trulli built from local limestone rock that date back to 1350 (the earliest Trulli settlements date back to the Bronze Age).
Whilst the Trulli can also be found around the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto, the historical town of Alberobello is the masterpiece.
Around 400 Trulli are located in the modern district of Aia Piccola whilst a further 1000 or so are in the commercial and tourist zone called Monti. It is here where you will find many souvenir shops, cafes, bars and restaurants.
