Featured Côte d'Azur resorts
Offering a warm and very friendly stay, the towns and villages around the Côte d'Azur provide nothing less than the highest quality in service and fantastic accommodation for you to enjoy. From quaint fishing villages and glamourous cosmopolitan resorts to the hill top retreats, the Côte d'Azur provides an intriguing mix of destinations.
Things to see & do along the Cote d'Azur
The Côte d'Azur is packed with things to see and do from the glorious beaches to the quaint mountain villages. No matter where you are staying along this coastline, a visit to glitzy Monte Carlo is always on the agenda. If you are visiting in winter, the ski resorts of Isola 2000 and Vars are both under 2 hours drive away and are perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers.
Medieval hilltop village of Eze
Eze is a medieval village perched on top of a steep hill with spectacular views of the Cap-Ferrat coastline. The narrow cobblestone streets are packed with cafes, restaurants for alfreco dining and artisan shops. The village is also home to a 14th-century chateau called La Chevre d'Or which is now a luxury hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant and lovely gardens filled with roses and woodland fountains. Another popular attraction in Eze is the Exotic Gardens at the top of the hill, with fabulous panoramic views all the way to the Italian border.
Île de Porquerolles
Îles d'Hyères is a collection of 3 islands just 10 minutes off the coast by boat. The Île de Porquerolles is the largest island and is simply stunning, almost tropical. There are towering cliffs with great hiking trails on the southern side, whilst the northern side facing the Côte d'Azur has wonderful white sandy beaches. Apart from giving the feeling of being thousands of miles away, the other main attraction is the watersports with sailing, snorkeling and scuba diving all being very popular. The best way to get to Île de Porquerolles is to take the ferry from Hyères - a small fishing village around 20kms east of Toulon.
Vars la Forêt Blanche is a paradise in summer and winter for mountain enthusiasts. During the winter, the resort turns into a winter wonderland with fabulous skiing for the whole family. There are gentle blues for beginners plus a good mix of reds, blacks and off-piste trails for the more advanced skiers and boarders. The apres-ski is relaxed with a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants.
During the warm summer months, the resort is ideal for hiking, mountain biking or simpy wandering through the larch forests.
