How to get to Saint Emilion

If you are flying, the closest airport to Saint Emilion is Bordeaux which is 54kms away taking around 45 minutes by car. Bordeaux is serviced by many international carriers from around Europe. From the UK, carriers such as Flybe, Ryanair and Easyjet have direct flights from several regional airports.
From the airport, the best option is to hire a car as you will need the flexibility and convenience it provides when touring the surrounding villages and the beach resorts such as Souliac-sur-Mer.
By Train
Saint Emilion has its own train station so an alternative to hiring a car from Bordeaux is to get a train. The journey takes just around 35 minutes.
If travelling from London, you can take the Eurostar to Paris and then change trains to Bordeaux on the TGV Atlantique Paris-Bordeaux line.
